Ask Fiberly: Private On-Device Fiber Questions

Quick answer

Ask Fiberly is a private question-and-answer feature for your Fiberly data. On supported iPhone and iPad models, questions, the relevant Fiberly data, and the answer are processed on the device rather than sent to Fiberly or a remote AI service.

It is designed for questions such as how your recent week compares with your goal, what remains today, and which logged foods contributed most—not diagnosis or treatment.

What Ask Fiberly can answer

  • Review coverage, averages, strongest days, and weakest days from your recent log.
  • Explain today’s remaining gap and suggest options from your familiar Fiberly foods.
  • Compare your selected adult age reference with the intake data you choose to discuss.
  • Answer general fiber concepts with the app’s bundled references.

Private processing with clear boundaries

Ask Fiberly’s model flow is designed for on-device processing. The app keeps the question, the Fiberly data used to answer it, and the answer on the device; custom food names are also handled with additional data-safety rules in the app.

Availability depends on iOS 26, device eligibility, Apple Intelligence being enabled, model readiness, and a supported language. The feature explains when it is unavailable instead of pretending a remote fallback is available.

A data coach, not a medical service

Ask Fiberly can summarize and organize the data you logged. It cannot examine you, diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, or replace a qualified healthcare professional. Do not use its output for urgent or clinical decisions.

Included answers and premium access

The app includes 10 answers on the device before the Ask Fiberly allowance is exhausted. Premium removes that included-answer limit. The App Store and the in-app paywall are the source of truth for current access and pricing.

Common questions

Does Ask Fiberly send my food log to a remote AI service?

No. The app describes Ask Fiberly as processed on the device. Availability depends on Apple’s on-device model support and the conditions shown in the app.

What does Ask Fiberly know?

It works from the Fiberly data and bundled references selected for the question. It is not a general web search engine and does not know facts you have not provided or the app has not bundled.

Is Ask Fiberly medical advice?

No. It is a wellness data assistant for organizing fiber information, not diagnosis, treatment, or clinical advice.
